Family-Owned Emergency Care

Our family-owned emergency clinic is powered by extraordinary individuals with genuine passion for animal care. While corporate clinics prioritize procedures and profit margins, our team brings decades of specialized veterinary expertise to every dog and cat patient. We focus primarily on small animals, with occasional exotic pet surgeries for special cases. We offer the advanced surgical capabilities of a large facility with the personal touch only a dedicated family practice can provide. When your pet needs urgent care, you'll find experienced hands guided by compassionate hearts ready to help.

Dr. Gurmani DVM

Chatsworth Veterinarian

Dr. Gurmani was raised in a farming family, and he had to take care of a bunch of livestock, cats, dogs, and chickens on the farm. He finished his studies in Pakistan in 2001 and from 2003-2006 he went to Oklahoma State University to finish his remaining studies and get a qualification to practice in the USA. He started practicing in 2006 in Illinois and in 2008 moved to Chatsworth, CA to continue working in Mission Animal Care Center until 2018. After opening his own practice in 2018, he has now called Topanga Veterinary Clinic.

‎Viktoriia Gurmani

Manager

After witnessing my veterinarian husband’s extraordinary dedication to animals, I left my C-level tech position to join our family’s Topanga Veterinary Clinic team. My background in technology, communications and marketing now serves a deeper purpose as we create a practice where pets receive exceptional care without inflated corporate prices. I’ve found more fulfillment helping families care for their beloved companions than any executive role could provide.

Torrie L.

Senior Technician

With over 3 decades of experience in animal care, I have always had a deep passion for animals, inspired by my childhood experiences with pets. Over the years, l’ve dedicated myself to learning about animal health, behavior and welfare, working in various settings from shelters to veterinary clinics. My goal is to promote compassion and understanding for all living pets while advocating for their well-being.

Stephanie D.

CSR / Technician

  • I began my veterinary journey in 2021 at vet assistant school while working at Topanga Vet. After gaining experience at another clinic to develop my technician skills, I’m thrilled to be back where I started! I’m currently working toward my veterinary technician license with a passion for eventually specializing in large animal care.

When I’m not at the clinic, I enjoy trap shooting, horseback riding, exploring vegan restaurants, and hiking.

Mobina A.

Vet Assistant / Technician

Veterinarian with a DVM from Iran (2020), where I practiced until 2023 before moving to the US. Currently working in a veterinary clinic while pursuing US licensure. My passion lies in providing compassionate care to every animal, making their lives healthier and happier. I remember pets’ names better than their owners’! 🐾
